OLAN（オーラン）先生の「夏休み:(パート1)」レポート

本日は、hanaso講師の英文レポートをご紹介します。
今回のレポートを書いて頂いた先生は 、OLAN（オーラン）先生です！
今回は子どもとの夏休みついてレポートを書いていただきました！
夏休みに子どもを連れてプールへ遊びに出掛けたようですが、本当に幸せそうです。
子どもの元気な笑顔で日頃の疲れも吹き飛びますね！
それでは、OLAN先生のレポートの記事をご紹介します！
SUMMER BREAK: (part 1) ～夏休み:(パート1)～
When I was a child growing up, I’ve always looked forward to summer school break. This is because of the trips to the beach or local pools made by my family. My father would always take a break from work to take us on trips to local pools or beaches so we can enjoy.
子供の頃、僕はいつも夏休みを楽しみにしていた。家族でビーチや地元のプールへと出かけるからだった。父親がいつも仕事から休みを取り、地元のプールやビーチで僕らが楽しめるよう連れて行ってくれたんだ。
Now that I have a family of my own, I am keeping the tradition alive the same way. I make time for my family to go to the local pool so my child will enjoy summer the same way I did when I was her age.
今は僕にも妻や子どもがいるから、その伝統を同じ形で受け継いでいる。常に娘が僕が彼女くらいの年の時にそうだったように地元のプールへと家族を連れて行き、夏を楽しませることにしているんだ。
Although I do not enjoy swimming as much compared to when I was young, seeing the smile on my daughters face gives me the same happiness. It reminds me that even small things can give you immeasurable joy.
幼い頃に比べて今はもうあまり水泳を楽しいとは感じないとはいえ、娘たちの笑顔を見れば僕も同じように幸せになるんだ。ほんの小さなことでも測りきれない喜びを与えてくれるんだと思い出すよ。
We played while swimming and she did not show any signs of getting tired. She would always ask me to carry her and let her swim the deep parts of the pool while I hold her. We played for about 2 hours and she would always shriek in delight while I carried her from end to end of the pool.
If I stop, she would ask for more.
泳ぎながら遊んだんだけど彼女は一切疲れを見せないんだ。僕に抱えてとせがんで、プールの深いところで泳ぐのが好きなんだ。約2時間ほど遊んで、僕が彼女をプールの端から端へと運ぶたび嬉しさではしゃぐんだ。もしも止めれば、とうぜんもっとと要求されるよ。If I stop, she would ask for more.
After two hours of playing, I had to stop because I was tired. We went to the kiddie pool where she would be able to play on her own. I rested in the shade sitting down in the
shower. She eventually let my hands go to play with other children. I did not complain. I found out that I am no match for the enthusiasm of a child having fun.
2時間遊んだ後、僕はとても疲れたんで休憩することにしたんだ。娘を自分一人で遊べる子供用プールに連れて行ったよ。僕はシャワーの下の日陰で休んでいたんだ。彼女は他の子供達と遊ぶために僕の手を離すんだ。文句は言わないよ。子どもが楽しもうとする元気には到底敵わないことはもう解ったからね。shower. She eventually let my hands go to play with other children. I did not complain. I found out that I am no match for the enthusiasm of a child having fun.
両親に大切に育ててもらったように、自分が子どもを持つときも同じように愛おしく大事に育てるその意志の受け継ぎはとても大切なことですね。
仕事で忙しくても、家族と過ごすことによりこの上ない至極の幸福感を与えてくれるそうです！
補足ですが、フィリピンの学校では6月に新学年度が始まるため、それまでの2ヶ月間が夏休みの期間となります。
常夏の国なので、冬休みなどはまた異なる名前で呼ばれているかと思いますが、それについては今度OLAN先生に聞いてみます！
