悪い状況でも良いことがある/希望の光

下記会話例を見てください。

Don:I hurt my back while cleaning the house, and had to go to the doctor.
It turns out, the doctor that was working there was my classmate in elementary.
We haven’t seen each other in a long time.
ドン:家の掃除をしていたら背中を痛めちゃって病院に行かなければならなかったけど、
そこのお医者さんが小学校のときの同級生だったの。本当に久しぶりだったわ。
Steven:Oh really? It’s true that every bad situation has a silver lining.
ステーヴェン:本当に？悪い状況でもいいことがあるものだ。

次の例文を見てみましょう。

While the storm damaged a lot of infrastructure in the city, and displaced a lot of people,
the silver lining was that people helped each other on whatever ways they can.
嵐により多くのインフラ施設が被害を受け、行方不明者が多数出ましたが
人々がお互いを助け合うために精一杯尽くしていることが希望の光です。
